APNEA ACADEMY 1* COURSES

With the only Apnea Academy instructor present on the Maltese Islands at our centre you can start an adventure trough the fascinating world of Free-diving. Chris Borg Cardona (apnea academy instructor) regularly holds courses for the first level of training.

The first ever Apnea Academy freediving course in Malta. For the occasion Umberto Pellizzari’s (Apnea world record man) personal trainers (lower left corner) were invited for the event.

The Apnea Academy 1* star course is spread in 5 – 6 session and will cover general knowledge on freediving, pool training sessions and also open water activities. Trough these training sessions participants will have to reach the following course requirements in order to be qualified as an Apnea Academy 1* student: 1’15” in static apnea, 25 meters in dynamic apnea & 8 meters in depth.

Before the start of the course students will have to possess basic Apnea equipment. Trough out the course students will also learn about proper freediving equipment in order to improve performance and even more important safety.
