Cirkewwa diving
From May - October the water temperature around Malta and Gozo is around 20 C and a 5mm wetsuit (with gloves and boots) is recommended. Cirkewwa diving - Water temperatures are dropping down to 15 C from November - April and a 7mm semi-dry suit with long johns and jacket (giving 14mm on the core body) is recommended (don't forget hood, boots and gloves). If you are more comfortable in a drysuit, this is an excellent option.
Cirkewwa diving. Some vacation resorts offer resort diving courses lasting a day or two which offer beginners some very basic training in order to try out scuba diving. These are not certification programs. Full dive certification programs involve classroom work, exams, practical skills sessions at a pool and usually about four open water dives. The duration of the classroom work and pool sessions vary from a very intensive weekend (with advance reading) to once a week over several weeks. The open water dives will usually take two more days. The Open Water Class - the first step and first contact of most people to SCUBA diving. Usually after a few class sessions and a few pool sessions, you are ready for your open water skill test with your instructors from Aquatica Dives. In the Open Water Class, you will learn the basics of SCUBA diving from setting up your dive equipment to how to react and solve basic emergencies under water. You will also learn basic SCUBA diving terms such as decompression, narc and safety stop. At the end of the class, you will be rewarded and certified to dive in open water up to 60ft.
Scuba divers do more than check out the fish. Depending on your interests, you can specialize in a skill for your own pleasure or make diving a career option. Cirkewwa diving Recreational diving is the main interest for the largest group of divers - those who dive for the fun of it. Once you get your diving certification, you can further your diving education by specializing in a skill. Some specializations include altitude diving, night diving, fish identification, search and recovery, underwater photography or videography, equipment specialist, cavern diving, wreck diving, ice diving, and technical diving specialties. Scuba Diving Malta
Scuba divers dive wherever there is water: oceans, seas, lakes, rivers, quarries, waterways, canals, mines, springs, abandoned oilrigs, and old missile silos. Any time of year is a good time to dive. Just because it is fall or winter, it doesn't mean you can't dive. There are many cold water and ice divers out there. You can take specialty courses to prepare you for cold water diving. If you are a warm water fan, try a vacation to the Mediterranean and enjoy. We naturally suggest Malta!
