TECHNICAL DIVING

Malta is a prime location for tec diving. The numerous wrecks scattered all around the Island, relatively warm waters, and excellent visibility combine all together creating an underwater paradise for those experienced divers that are always looking for new trilling diving adventures.

Most of the deeper dives performed on technical equipment features wrecks. This is due to the strategic positioning of the Maltese Islands and it’s major involvement during both WW I & II. This has left dozens of wrecks scattered around the Maltese coast lying at a considerable depth for several years undisturbed. Only in the recent years with the practice of tec diving becoming more popular could these wreck be rediscovered and admired in all their majestic beauty and historical importance.

Since a vast majority of these exclusive wrecks have been sunk during the last two great wars they have also gained a historical importance and are to be admired and respected for their past history and sometimes for the lives of brave men that perished together with their ship while they were performing their duty at sea.

Ranging from about 40meters to more than 100mt one can find battle ships, mineswipers, bomber planes, submarine and E boats. Most of these dives are exclusive to a small number of divers that have the training, and most importantly, the experience to visit these wrecks that lay in the deep blue and testify for their glorious past.
